Trying to get my replacement engine wired back in. Where does the orange wire that looks like it runs to one side of the Ammeter go to? I do not see an orange one on the harness going to the engine.

Ultimately the ammeter goes between the battery and the alternator but, like the A/C ammeter, there may be a shunt. Unless the shunt is internal to the meter?
