salon flooring

It is time to replace the carpet in the salon. We had just laid a big piece of carpet then cut it so we could peel it back to gain access to the hatches. A runner went from slider to stairs. With all the hatches and hinges, has anyone found another good flooring option? Thanks.

Carpeting can be a pain, but I like the "home environment" that it provides in the salon area.

I used this style product and I really like it . Snaps together and has places to screw it down. ( I did not have to do it with the way it fits.) It can also be removed to clean under it and any work needed below the floor. The teak wood looks good with the rest of the wood on the boat.

We went to linoleum years ago, with throw (away) rugs, and were never sorry.

I will attest to Fastjeffs' linoleum flooring in the salon. It looks fantastic. If I could I would do the aft deck in the same product if I could identify it.

The guy who laid it down (you didn't think I did it, right?) warned that excessive water would damage it, so using it for the cockpit deck is not advisable.
